Nie mogę zedytować pliku htaccess.txt

Ściągnełem joomla 1.5.9. Aby dokonać zmiany w Display Errors należy zmienić plik htaccess.txt na .htaccess i dopisać w nim

Chciałem tak zrobić, ale nie mogę zedytować pliku do postaci .htaccess nie wiem dlaczego?

Co to znaczy "zedytować do postaci"? Nazwy zmienić nie możesz? A gdzie ją zmieniasz?

Wchodzę do katalogu joomla i tam jest plik htaccess.txt i próbuje go zmienić na .htaccess ale po zmianie nazwy wraz wyświetla mi htaccess.txt. Oczywiście jestem zalogowany jako root

skopiuj plik na dysk lokalny, zmień co masz zmienić. ZMień jego nazwę i wrzuć na serwer -> P.R.O.S.T.E.

Zrobiłem tak jak napisałeś. Zmieniłem nazwę i dopisałem na końcu w .htaccess

Po edycji plik .htaccess po prostu znika z katalogu joomla?
Edytowałem plik na dysku jak na serwerze loklanym jako użytkownik root i zawsze taki sam efekt. Kiedy odpalam instalacje w polu Display Errors mam oczywiście na czerwono:(
Przecież na Linuxsie użytkownik root może wszyskto!

Nie znika, Ty go po prostu nie widzisz. W swoim kliencie FTP ustaw widoczność plików ukrytych

OK, rzeczywiście jest jako plik ukryty. Kiedy odpalam instalatora dalej ma na czerwono w polu Display Errors choć dodałem odpowiedni wpis. Zresztą oto zawartość mojego pliku .htaccess

Nie używam klienta ftp. Po prostu zainstaluję joomla na moim lokalnym serwerze na początek.
