tak tylko ze to powoduje wczytanie sie strony w domena.pl i dopiero po chwili przekierowuje, a tamten modul robi to odrazu

A sprawdzałeś jak to działa ?
Czy piszesz od tak z powietrza ?
Każde przekierowanie tak działa chyba na tym to polega więc .. nie wiem jaki efekt chcesz uzyskać.. że niby skąd przychodzące zapytanie ma wiedzieć że ma otworzyć www a nie bez www..
Po to się to robi w htaccess aby pierwsze zapytanie od razu zwracało wynik bez www na www
